The Howtek HiResolve 8000 scanner offers up to 8000 dpi of true, optical resolution with a maximum scan area of 8" x 10" guaranteeing that we scan at the native resolution without interpolation. Images produced from our Howtek scanner are great for a multitude of applications ranging from high resolution archival of your negatives and positives to grand format prints. | Kodak Professional HR 500 film scanning |
|
|
Scans produced on the HR 500 require no spotting as the Digital Ice technology from Applied Science Fiction removes all dust as well as minor surface scratches not penetrating the a film’s emulsion. The HR500 supports most professional film formats including 35mm, 46mm, 70mm, split 70mm, 120 and 220(6x8, 6x9, 6x7, 6x6, 6x4.5, 4.5x6 cm).

The Kodak Photo CD system offers a powerful tool for viewing, storing and working with images that is fast becoming a computer industry standard. The Photo CD system builds a bridge from professional photography to the desktop computer. It combines the quality, convenience and low cost of conventional picture-taking with the benefits of digital technology -- the ability to display, enhance, store and transmit images electronically.
The Kodak Photo CD file format on Photo CD discs stores each image at multiple levels of resolution. Here is an information table based on a 35mm scanned image for your reference:
